Pretty Tough

Christopher Kane's A/W 10 show had to be one of my favourites this week.
A single theme usually draws Kane's whole collection together, and in his show yesterday, the models wore leather embroidered with delicate flowers and dotted with crystals, with lashings of lace, mesh and patent PVC.
The hair and make up was quite stark in comparison with peachy lips, tawny shadow blended into the socket, just a matt base and apricot blusher applied to give the impression of sculpted cheeks,temples and jaw bones.
I love the whole contradiction of the vibrant, detailed flowers against the tough leather and provocative lace. Hardcore chintz!!
