The event was master-minded by Sarah, author of the blog Sarah-Leigh's Style Files and the aim of the party was to bring Southampton’s creative minds together for an evening of music, drinks, dancing, creativity and to raise some much needed cash for Oxfam.
Guests were entertained by live bands including local artist Kelly Mordecai, Joe Chiari and Aaron Soul, as well as Le Martells.
Local street artists Monorex and Hicks created a huge mural outside Orange Rooms while people watched in awe.
One of my favourite parts of the night was the 'Vintage Lounge' upstairs which was an absolute haven for vintage lovers, stocked with only the finest stock from Hepwrights Vintage Emporium.
There was also an auction in aid of Oxfam, with exclusive gifts, some of which being a pair of hand painted Reebok trainers (customised by artist Hicks, who also painted the huge futuristic murals outside Orange Rooms) and an ink and water-colour print by local artist Lisa Jean.I very much wanted to bid on the print, but as the boyfriend was hosting the auction and i was helping with it, neither of us got a chance to bid! Although it did go to the lovely Sarah, which i thought was very well deserved!
Soph wearing my drippy ink Faux Chanel Tee!
Finally, i helped fellow Stylist Sophie Penn (along with lovely Emma) to style a fashion show featuring a mix of high street and vintage. I loved the way that as the models came out, all the lights went out and they were lit only by the hand held lights they were holding--very futuristic!A couple of the T-shirts i designed were used in the show which gave me great delight.
